HECToR User Group Meeting, 12 October 2010, NAG, ManchesterThe 2010 HECToR User Group Meeting will take place at the Manchester Central Convention Complex.
The meeting will start at 10:30. In the morning session there will be service updates from EPCC, Cray and NAG, as well as a Q & A session with these service partners and the research councils.
The afternoon will be given over to discussion on the options for Phase 3 of HECToR.
XT6 Workshop, Manchester, Wednesday October 13th 2010
The HUG will be followed by a one day workshop on the Cray XT6. This will take place in NAG's Manchester Office. There will be technical presentations from members of the Cray Centre of Excellence and the NAG CSE Team.
Over half of the day will be left open for attendees to discuss their own codes with the technical experts.
Attendees will need to bring a laptop with wireless capability.

HECToR User Group Meeting, 23 September 2008, NeSC, Edinburgh
NAG would like to invite you to the HECToR User Group Meeting on September 23rd 2008 in Edinburgh. There will be a number of talks from users and the service providers, as well as an open forum to allow users to raise any relevant issues with the service partners and the research councils. The meeting will take place at the National e-Science Centre in Edinburgh immediately before the Cray Technical Workshop Europe (http://www.cray.com/europe). This workshop, run by The Cray Centre of Excellence and hosted by EPCC at the University of Edinburgh, gave HECToR users a preview of the service. The aim of the workshop was for Cray and HECToR staff to provide assistance to users, who have been awarded early use time on HECToR, with getting set up the machine.
