Phase III Training
To introduce Phase3 of the HECToR service NAG are running courses that introduce the new architecture, which is based ultimately on the new AMD Bulldozer architecture. This is somewhat different from previous AMD designs because cores share performance-critical hardware and support new floating point instructions.

The training will consist of 2 separate courses spanning 4 days and will be run twice in February 2012, at each of NAG's offices in Oxford and Manchester. The first day will introduce new HECToR users to the system with a general overview of the hardware, software and configuration of the service. Days 2, 3, 4 will consist of a new 3 day course focusing on debugging, profiling and optimising code on the new architecture. You can attend day 2, days 3 and 4 or all of them.

Follow the links below for more details on individual courses.
