The HECToR Service is now closed and has been superceded by ARCHER.

Phase 3 acceptance/availability tests successfully completed

We are delighted to announce that both the Phase 3 acceptance tests and availability trials have completed successfully. The 10-day availability trial was started on Friday 27th Jan, immediately after the system was returned to service.

We are currently reviewing the new Phase3 AU charge rate and will advise before any change is made to that.

Service Outage - Monday 13th February, Launch Event

On Monday 13 February there will be a joint launch event held at Edinburgh for HECToR Phase 3 and STFC's DiRAC BlueGeneQ facility. The event will be attended by a number of senior stakeholders and also the winner of EPSRC's HECToR Cabinet Design competition.

In order to facilitate the launch event, HECToR will be powered down and unavailable between 1300 GMT and 1800 GMT on 13 February 2012. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.

Note - The regular scheduled maintenance session on Wednesday 15th February will go ahead as planned from 1200 GMT to 1800 GMT.
