The call also invites proposals for project access to Tier-1 resources, via DECI, the Distributed European Computing Initiative, providing single project cross-national access to national (Tier-1) HPC-resources. The DECI call is synchronized in preparation for future integrated calls for Tier-0 and Tier-1 resources. The DECI Call, its processes, the procedures and mechanisms are explained in detail in the section "Tier-1 Call" of the "PRACE 4th Regular Call for proposals" (Download address see below)
The deadline for submission of proposals both for Tier-0 and for Tier-1 is 10th January 2012 at 1600 CET.

- Bull BULL Bullx cluster "CURIE" (GENCI@CEA, France)

- MareNostrum (BSC, Spain)
- FERMI (CINECA, Italy)
Tier-1 machines available: IBM Blue Gene/P, Cray XT and XE, IBM Power 6, range of large clusters including GPU resources made available from Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Sweden, The Netherlands, Serbia, Switzerland, Turkey and United Kingdom.

Preparatory Access Call for Tier-0
Preparatory access is intended for testing and developing codes in order to prepare applications for PRACE Tier-0 project access. In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the Preparatory Access Type C which includes code development with support from PRACE experts. Further information are given on the PRACE web page: http://www.prace-ri.eu/Call-Announcements.
The Preparatory Access Call is a rolling call, researchers can apply for resources all year. There are no closing dates, proposals will be reviewed every third month. The next cutoff date is Dec 1 2011.
All interested scientists, whose projects fit the criteria of the PRACE calls are invited to submit their projects. The criteria for the PRACE Regular Call and the PRACE Preparatory Access Call as well as complete information on the PRACE machines, how to apply for the Calls and on the PRACE peer review process can be found at: http://www.prace-ri.eu/
