The mission of UoE HPCX Ltd is to carry forward the University of Edinburgh's commitment to the provision of high-end computing at the national, European and world scale.
UoE HPCX Ltd is directing the service provision for HECToR. It is contracting with Cray for the hardware, and with the University and CCLRC to provide accomodation, system management, the helpdesk, coordination of the website and user administration.
UoE HPCX Ltd also coordinates the provision of the HPCx national service, which opened in 2002.
