Members of the Centre of Excellence
The Cray Centre of Excellence consists of three Cray staff who are dedicated to providing support to HECToR and its users.Jason Beech-Brandt
Jason joined Cray in June 2007, and started in the Centre of Excellence from August 2007. Prior to this he worked at the AHPCRC in Minneapolis as a Research Scientist in the CFD group. Jason completed his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Edinburgh in 2002.
Kevin Roy
Kevin joined the Centre of Excellence in October 2007 from the Cray benchmarking team. Prior to this he was part of the UK National Supercomputing facility, CSAR
Tom Edwards
Tom joined Cray in September 2009 after completing a PhD in Optimising a Plasma Turbulence Simulation for High Performance Computers at the University of Edinburgh. Prior to this he worked at the UK Met Office on the Ported Unified Model.
