Support for HECToR Users

Support for HECToR users is provided via the web, training courses and dedicated high-end computing consultants from EPCC and NAG Ltd..

The HECToR Helpdesk

Requests for support and responses to specific user issues are co-ordinated via the HECToR Helpdesk. The Helpdesk provides cover Monday to Friday 0830-1800 (excluding UK Bank Holidays).

A number of paths are open to getting dedicated support in using HECToR for your research.

The majority of the HECToR documentation is freely available online.We provide a detailed user guide, answers to frequently asked questions, and good practice guides.

What training courses are available?

Training courses are available for all levels of user - from basic introductions to HPC and HECToR, to advanced techniques and application tuning.

These HPC training courses are provided free of charge to HECToR users and UK academics whose work is covered by the remit of one of the participating research councils (EPSRC, NERC and BBSRC).

Other people may attend on payment of a course fee. All of the upcoming training courses are listed on the training page.
